Police: Two Accused in Snyder Township Assault

SNYDER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police report an incident of simple assault occurred in Snyder Township, Jefferson County.

Police report the incident occurred between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. August 16 at a residence along Patch Road.

An argument between a Brockway man and a known 50-year-old male victim turned physical when the Brockway man allegedly struck the victim, police say.

The victim then called a Kersey woman who came to the residence and was allegedly struck by the Brockway man, according to police.

The Kersey woman then allegedly assaulted the Brockway man causing injury, police say.

The Kersey woman was charged with simple assault and harassment and placed in the Jefferson County Jail, where she was arriagned via video conference and released on unsecured bail, police report.

Summary charges were also filed against the Brockway man for harassment against both the Kersey woman and the victim.
