State Police Respond to Crash on Route 119

SYKESVILLE BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police responded to a one-vehicle crash on State Route 119 in Sykesville Borough on Sunday.

According to police, the accident happened around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 13, on East Liberty Street just south of East Main Street, on Route 119, in Sykesville Borough, Jefferson County.

Police say 27-year-old Erin B. Weir, of Harrison City, was operating a 2012 Kia Forte, traveling north on State Route 119, when Weir last control of the vehicle on the wet roadway. The front wheel then struck the curb on the east side of the roadway, causing disabling damage to the vehicle.

Weir was using a seatbelt and was not injured.
