Police Respond to Hit and Run Incident in Young Township

police-carYOUNG TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police responded to a hit and run incident in Young Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, at 1:56 a.m. on March 4 an unknown vehicle was traveling east on Snyder Hill Road, negotiating a right curve in the roadway.

Police say the vehicle was traveling too fast and left the north edge of the roadway, crossed a paved driveway and traveled into a grass lawn.

The vehicle traveled a total of 90 feet from the edge of the roadway.

The grass lawn was damaged by the vehicle.

The vehicle backed onto the roadway and fled the scene traveling east.
