Police: Reynoldsville Woman Injured in Suspected DUI Crash in Sandy Township

Police sirenSANDY TWP., Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police say a one-car crash occurred on July 2, along Interstate 80, mile marker 96.4, in Sandy Township, Clearfield County.

Police say around 3:00 p.m. on July 2, 43-year-old Vicki K. Reitz, of Reynoldsville, was traveling east on Interstate 80, near mile marker 96.4, when she drifted off the right (south) side of the roadway and struck a guide rail nearly head-on.

Upon impact, Reitz’s 2016 Subaru Forester rotated 90 degrees forward before coming to a final stop in the right lane facing south.

Reitz’s vehicle sustained heavy damage to its front end, and multiple airbags deployed as a result of this collision.

Reitz was wearing her seat belt and suffered a suspected minor injury.

Reitz was charged with a traffic violation.

Police say Reitz is suspected to be driving under the influence. Appropriate charges will be filed against her pending a toxicology report.
