Police Seek Information on Hit and Run in Rose Township

investigationROSE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, a hit and run crash occurred on Hunts Run Road and Slimak Road, in Rose Township, Jefferson County.

Police say sometime between 5:00 p.m. on October 14 and 7:30 a.m. on October 15, a dual wheeled utility or flatbed type trailer was traveling west on Hunts Run Road and struck a guide rail.

According to police, the operator realized the trailer became stuck on the guide rail, backed up to release it, then fled the scene traveling north of Slimak Road.

The trailer would have been hauling a heavy load, police say.
