Police Seek Information on Hit and Run

HENDERSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say around 9:00 p.m. a hit and run accident occurred on Caroline Street, 33 feet south of Pike Road, in Henderson Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, a white dual wheel truck hauling an aluminum 5th wheel animal-carrier type trailer was backing down Pike Road onto Caroline Street. the trailer struck a post and sign along the north edge of Caroline Street, causing damage to that sign.

The driver of that vehicle then drove away west along Caroline Street without reporting the crash or making contact with the property owner.

It is believed that the vehicle was either picking up or delivering animals to a residence along Pike Road.
