Police Seeking Information on Vehicle Stolen, Severely Burned in Banks Township

investigationBANKS TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police are investigating the theft of a vehicle that occurred on Sidney Road, in Banks Township, Indiana County.

According to police, sometime between 5:00 p.m. on September 5 and 1:45 a.m. on September 6, an unknown perpetrator(s) removed a 47-year-old Rossiter woman’s vehicle from her residence.

The vehicle was located approximately two miles from the residence and was found in a severely burned state, police say.

The damage to the vehicle is estimated at approximately $10,000.00, according to police.

The investigation is continuing.
