Police: Suspect Flees During Interview, Found Hiding in Alley

handcuffsBROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Brookville Borough Police were dispatched on February 3 around 4:45 p.m. for a report of an unknown male attempting to open the door to a vehicle belonging to a Madison Avenue resident.

Police were advised of a general description of the male actor and were able to locate an individual matching the description near Union Apartments, according to police.

The victim later identified the alleged perpetrator as the male that attempted to open his vehicle door, police say.

While in the process of being interviewed by police, the suspect fled on foot and was later found hiding in an alley near Galbraith’s Furniture, according to police.

The male suspect was placed into custody and transported to the Jefferson County Jail.

The name of the suspect was not released.
