State Police Release Details of Animal Cruelty in Clarion County

CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) – State police released details of an incident of cruelty to animals in Clarion County.

Around 12:39 p.m. on November 27, Troopers Freeman and McBride, of Clarion-based State Police, were dispatched to a residence on Bela Road in Parker, Perry Township, Clarion County, to check on two dogs that were left at an abandoned residence and had no food or water.

On the scene, the dogs were located, and it appeared the residence was abandoned. One of the dogs was tied to the porch, and the other was tied to a dog box. Both dogs were aggressive and would not let the troopers get close. They both were thin but did not appear they were starving, according to police.

Contact was made with the owner with the help of adult probation.

Police say the owner had a neighbor feeding the dogs for him. The dogs were taken in by the owner’s daughter in Clarion.

The above report was released to exploreJeffersonpa.com on Saturday, November 7, 2019.
