Police Respond to Two-Vehicle Crash on Route 119

BELL TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A two-vehicle collision occurred on Thursday night on Route 119 in Bell Township.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, 55-year-old Laura L. Taladay, of Punxsutawney, and 60-year-old Harry G. Hilbert, Jr., of Pittsburgh, were involved in the accident.

Police say around 7:17 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, Taladay was entering State Route 119 from a stopped position on Airport Road in a 2017 Toyota Corolla.

According to police, Taladay failed to yield to oncoming traffic and struck Hilbert’s 2010 Chevrolet Silverado that was traveling southbound along Route 119.

Both drivers were using seat belts.

There were no injuries.

Taladay was charged with a traffic violation.

Jefferson County EMS assisted at the scene.

The Toyota sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

The Chevrolet was driven from the scene.
