Brookville Crash Takes Down Power Lines

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — A traffic accident on Jenks Street in Brookville took down power lines and left it closed for several hours.

According to Brookville Borough Police, Dominic Palmer, 19, of Brookville crashed a vehicle he was driving in the area of 55 Jenks Street at about 6:30 a.m. Sunday, June 11.

Palmer admitted he fell asleep before hitting a telephone pole, which took down the attached power lines. He wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.

Palmer was taken by Jefferson County EMS to Brookville Hospital for evaluation.

Police remained at the scene until the street department could close the area so crews could make needed repairs.

Jenks Street reopened around 3 p.m.

Police were also assisted at the scene by the Brookville Volunteer Fire Company and McPherson Towing.
