Woman Charged After Making Daughter Beg For Money at Truck Stop in Brookville

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Brookville Police have reported an incident involving a woman being charged with Endangering the Welfare of Children in Brookville Borough, Jefferson County.

At 11:00 a.m. May 21, 2015, police were called to investigate reports of a 9-year-old female knocking on truck drivers’ doors begging for money at Flying J’s Truck Stop.

Through the course of the investigation, police learned that the little girl’s mother was broke and made her daughter beg for money.

Children and Youth Services took custody of the two minor children, according to police.

The female is being charged with endangering the welfare of children.

Police did not release the name of the mother.
