Police: DUI/Drug Arrests Made in Sykesville, Washington Township

State PoliceJEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police say a DUI arrest and an Act 64 arrest were made in Jefferson County.

Connecticut Man Accused of Drug Posession in Washington Township

Around 7:33 a.m. on May 25, PSP DuBois conducted a traffic stop based upon a vehicle code violation at mile marker 93 of Interstate-80, in Washington Township.

The driver, a 21-year-old man from Danbury, Connecticut, was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana following a search of the vehicle.

Charges are pending at District Court 54-3-02, police say.

The name of the suspect was not released.

Punxsutawney Man Accused of DUI/Possesion of Controlled Substance

Around 12:57 p.m. on May 25, PSP DuBois conducted a traffic stop based upon a vehicle code violation on US-119, in Sykesville Borough, police say.

The driver, 54-year-old William Alan Kennis, of Punxsutawney, was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol and in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

Kennis was placed under arrest for drug and DUI charges, according to police.
