Vehicles Collide on Icy Hickory Road

HUSTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle crash last night in Huston Township, Clearfield County.

DuBois-based State Police say the accident happened around 5:15 p.m. on Hickory Road, just west of Diamond Street.

Joseph M. Winkler, 24, of Reynoldsville, was traveling eastbound on Hickory Road and negotiating a steep downhill turn on the roadway when he lost control of his 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee due to icy conditions.

Winkler’s vehicle collided with an oncoming 2014 Honda CRV operated by 54-year-old Kim M. Carcella of DuBois.

Both drivers escaped injury in the crash.

No charges were filed.
