Police say this crash occurred around 2:15 a.m. on November 30, as a 2008 Jeep Liberty, driven by 23-year-old Kyle J. Wilson, of Kersey, was traveling south on State Route 153. The vehicle was traveling uphill and negotiating a left curve in the roadway. Wilson lost control of the Jeep as it slid on the wet roadway, exiting the road to the west. It then continued to travel south along the shoulder of the roadway and struck two trees with its passenger side and sheared off another tree. The vehicle continued to travel south and came to a final rest facing west approximately 30 feet off the southbound lanes of travel, according to police.

Kersey was using a seat belt and suffered suspected minor injuries.

He was charged with a traffic violation.
