State Police Seeking Information on Pine Creek Township Hit and Run

PINE CREEK TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say a hit and run accident occurred last week on Hatten Road, in Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, this crash occurred sometime between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 16. An unidentified vehicle was traveling north on Hatten Road, and the driver lost control of it for unknown reasons.

The vehicle crossed into the southern lane of travel and exited the western portion of the roadway striking a mailbox. Upon impact with the mailbox, the vehicle traveled approximately 40 feet and struck a flowerbed, police say.

The vehicle fled the scene in an unknown direction.
