State Police Issue Warning After Attempted Theft

MARIENVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – State police are warning area residents and holiday shoppers to lock their vehicles as a result of a recent incident.

According to Marienville-based State Police, a woman reported damage to her 2017 Toyota Highlander after an unknown person tried to pry her passenger side door open sometime between December 11 and 20, possibly in the Clarington area, Forest or Jefferson counties.

The damage totaled $2,500.00.

Police also recommend that people not leave valuables in plain sight in their vehicles.
