PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – Drug charges are pending against two individuals following a traffic stop in Punxsutawney on Wednesday evening.
According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, a traffic stop was made around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 26, on a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu on State Route 436 in Punxsutawney Borough for an equipment violation.
Police say during the traffic stop, the driver, a 46-year-old Punxsutawney man, was suspected of being under the influence of a controlled substance.
In addition, a passenger of the vehicle, a 33-year-old Delancey woman, was found to be in possession of a controlled substance.
Charges are pending.
