One Injured in Rear-End Collision in Washington Township

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police responded to a two vehicle crash on Route 219 in Washington Township, Jefferson County.

Police say this crash occurred at 4:14 p.m. August 4, 2015, as 21-year-old Taffy Cornman, of Brockway, was traveling northbound on SR 219 behind 26-year-old Jacob Crytser, of DuBois.

According to police, Cryster was slowing down in the northbound lane for cross traffic turning into a driveway.

Cornman was allegedly unable to stop her 2004 Dodge Neon and rear-ended Cryster’s 2001 Chevrolet Silverado, according to police.

Cornman was not wearing a seat belt and sustained minor injuries in the crash.

Police say Cryster and his 67-year-old passenger Edward Cryster were wearing seat belts and were not injured.

DuBois EMS and Zimmerman Towing assisted at the scene.

Police say Cornman was cited for Following Too Closely.
