WESTOVER, Pa. (EYT) – A one-vehicle accident occurred on Friday morning crash in Westover Borough, Clearfield County.
According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, around 8:59 a.m. on February 2, 19-year-old Ethan L. Collins, of Clearfield, was driving a 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara east on Sylvis Road at the intersection with Pierce Road when he encountered another vehicle approaching in the opposite direction.
When Collins moved to the right side of the road, he dropped off the pavement and onto the dirt berm. He attempted to bring the Vitara back on to the roadway, but he lost control and spun across both lanes and the north berm into a small ditch and then hit a tree.
Collins was wearing a seat belt and wasn’t injured.
The Vitara was disabled and was removed from the scene by Smitty’s Towing.
