Project Backpack Raises Over $1,500 in Donations for Local Children


BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – The Clarion Federal Credit Union’s 10th Annual Project Backpack Campaign recently wrapped up, and organizers are pleased with the support from the community.

According to Elicia Kifer, director of Marketing and Business Development for Clarion Federal Credit Union, more than $1,500.00 in cash and other items such backpacks, school supplies, overnight bags, pajamas, toiletries, tooth brushes, and tooth paste were donated.

“Everyone, including the children, loves it, and they are always thankful,” said Elicia.

The Credit Union created Project Backpack to help underprivileged and foster children in the Clarion, Forest, and Jefferson counties.

The money donated will be used to purchase items needed for the children.

One hundred percent of the donations benefit the children.
