PSU DuBois Dominates Doubleheader

DUBOIS, Pa. – Penn State DuBois softball swept a doubleheader versus PSU Mont Alto in dominating fashion on Saturday afternoon.

Penn State DuBois won the first game 13-0 behind first baseman Cayleigh Huffman (Cabot, AR) who had 4 RBI’s off of 2 hits. Huffman also had the only double of the 5 inning game. Makenzie Lukehart added 3 hits as DuBois would end the game with a team total of 13 hits and 13 runs.

Lizzy Scott (West Branch) pitched a complete game, 1 hit shut-out against Mont Alto. Scott had 9 strike outs, and only 1 walk.

In game two, Penn State DuBois hit a team record 3 home runs in one game for DuBois as Laura Fatula (DuBois) and Skylar Ceprish (West Branch) each had inside the park home runs down the right field line. Kayleigh MacTavish (West Branch) hit one over the fence for a huge boost to her team as they would go on to win 12-2.

Scott pitched another complete game, with 7 strikeouts, allowing only 2 runs off of 5 hits.
