Punxsutawney Girl Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash Along State Route 119

A moving ambulance on it''s way to a crash site.PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – Police say a juvenile female was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Punxsutawney.

According to Punxsutawney Borough Police, the crash occurred around 2:15 p.m. on August 6, when a vehicle driven by Erica Huey, 38, of Punxsutawney, was traveling south on State Route 119 (South Gilpin Street), and a vehicle operated by Karen Lewis, 57, of Punxsutawney, pulled out of Union Street onto South Gilpin Street, and the vehicles collided.

A passenger in Huey’s vehicle – a 15-year-old Punxsutawney girl – suffered injuries from the airbag, police say.

She was transported to Punxsutawney Hospital, according to police.

No further information was released.
