Punxsutawney Man Victim of Identity Theft

alertBELL TWP., Pa. (EYT) –Punxsutawney-based State Police say an incident of identity theft occurred on Graffius Avenue Extension, in Bell Township, Jefferson County.

Police say on May 1, an unknown perpetrator opened a Fingerhut account in a 60-year-old Punxsutawney man’s name and subsequently purchased a computer for $678.37.

The package was picked up at the UPS hub located in DuBois.

The investigation is ongoing.
