Punxsy Kicks Off Holiday Season Today

PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – The holiday season kicks off in Punxsutawney on Saturday with several events.

Everything begins with Fall Diva Day from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Gobbler’s Knob, featuring up to 30 direct sales vendors, and crafters and artisans.

The Home for the Holidays Parade begins at 6:00 p.m. in downtown Punxsutawney with the Rotary Club lighting of the community Christmas tree and the Circle of Trees in Barclay Square.

The fireworks display will follow at 7:00 p.m.

After the fireworks, the After Parade Party will be held on the first floor of the Eagles Club, located across from Barclay Square,

Parade winners will be announced and children will have an opportunity to visit with Santa Claus.
