Punxsy Man Charged After Allegedly Attempting to Cash Stolen Checks

BELL TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say an incident of Theft occurred on March 20, in Bell Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, the incident occurred when Mark Farnsworth, 24, of Punxsutawney, allegedly took two personal checks from a residence on Graffius Avenue.

Farnsworth then allegedly forged the resident’s name on the checks and attempted to cash them at S&T Bank.

The transactions were denied by the bank, police say.

Charges have been filed with District Court 54-3-01.
