Ralph A. Yanity

OI1901572840_Yanityobitphoto[1]Ralph A. Yanity age 90 of Maple Street Brockway, PA. died on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Highland View Health Care in Brockway.

Born on June 25, 1925 in Lucerne Mines, PA; he was the son of the late Peter M. and Irene E. DeChurch Yanity.

Ralph was married to Catherine J. Presto and she preceded him in death on November 7, 1998. Retired, he had been employed as the cafeteria manager for the Brockway School District.

Ralph also owned and operated his own restaurant in Brockway for 20 years. He was a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran and a member at St. Tobias Church in Brockway.

He also was a 70 year member of Parson-Marnati Post #95 of the American Legion. Ralph enjoyed golfing, traveling, cooking and he loved lighthouses.

He is survived by 1 brother: James (Mary) Yanity of Indiana, PA; 1 niece: Amy Yanity of Columbia, SC; 2 nephews: William Yanity of Pittsburgh, PA; and Daniel Yanity of Butler, PA; and 3 grandnieces: Emily, Irene and Cori. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, November 17 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 18 at 9:30 AM at St. Tobias Church also in Brockway with Msgr. Charles Kaza presiding.

Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Tobias Church 1135 Hewitt Street Brockway, Pa. 15824
