Ralph W. Coon

Ralph W. Coon, 89, Trade City, died Friday, January 18, 2019, at home.

He was born November 26, 1929, in Trade City, a son of the late Annie Essel (Frederick) and James Blaine Coon.

On March 25, 1950, he married Anna L. (Cochran) Coon, who survives.

Ralph was a member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church of Trade City.

He was a retired lifelong farmer on his family farm.

He enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, baseball, and his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ralph served as a Committee Man of Indiana County F.S.A. and also as a Township Supervisor for North Mahoning Township.

In addition to his wife Anna, he is survived by three children, son Larry Coon and wife Judith, son Randall Coon and wife Debra, and daughter Joyce Martino and husband John, all of Trade City; seven grandchildren, Michael Coon and wife Kathy, Richard Coon, Tammie Barker and husband James, Alicia Latta and husband Tim, Nikki Coon, Todd Martino and wife Holli, and Lauren Mechling and husband Zachary; eight great grandchildren, Brandi Coon, Allison (Billy) Labosko, Amanda Onofrio, Emily Barker, Nolan and Camille Martino, and Hadley and Hayden Mechling; and a brother Ellis Coon.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Kenneth, James, Charles, Harold, and Raymond Coon.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at the funeral home officiated by Pastor Russ Crouthamel.

Interment will be in North Point Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made, in memory of Mr. Coon, to the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 27552 Route 954 Highway North, Smicksburg, PA 16256.
