Randy Joe Coombs

Randy Joe “Tank” Coombs, 51, of Big Run passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 as the result of an automobile accident in Big Run.

He was born on April 08, 1969 in Beaver Falls, he was lovingly raised by his maternal grandparents, the late Charles and Edna Bell Coombs.

Mr. Coombs served in the United States Army.

On March 19, 2011, he married the former Kristen Leah Shindledecker. She survives and resides in Big Run.

Randy was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather.

His favorite pass times included racing, fishing and camping. Nothing meant more to him than spending time with all his wonderful friends and family. Randy’s personality was welcoming, he always made sure everyone around felt like they belonged. Tank always lit up any room with laughter and managed to always make friends anywhere he went.

In addition to his wife Kristen, he is survived by his mother, Debbi Yanke; five children, Holly Renna Altenburg of Beaver, Randy Joe Coombs, II of Kittanning, Ciera Coombs, Zachary Thomas Coombs and Dennis Michael Coombs; ten grandchildren; two brothers and a sister.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Cliff Vos.

Interment will be at Smith Cemetery, Reynoldsville.
