Retired pastor,Rev. Donald G. Miles, 84, of Punxsutawney, PA passed from this life into the presence of his Lord and Savior Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Mulberry Square in Punxsutawney, PA.
He was born June 20, 1931 in Clearfield, PA, the son of the late James G. and Ruth (Kephart) Miles. Donald married Betty Smith on June 24, 1950 in North Bessemer, PA. She survives.
Don is survived by his wife; three children, Larry Miles and his wife, Diane of Edinboro, PA; Celia Watts and her husband, Kevin; of Maineville, OH; and Donna Ford of Punxsutawney, PA.He is also survived by five grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, Erik Ford, who died June 28, 2015.
Don and Betty pastored for over 55 years at various Alliance Churches, including Butler/Crosswinds, Coalport, Oil City, North East, Indiana, Cambridge Springs, Shell Point Village Church and Tionesta.
There will be no public visitation.
A Memorial Service in Punxsutawney will be held in several weeks when friends and family can gather to celebrate the life of this Pastor.
The date and time of the service will be announced at a later date.
