Reynoldsville Drug Overdose Death Leads to Charges Against Philadelphia Man

minner-mugREYNOLDSVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – A 65-year-old Philadelphia man has been arrested as a result of a drug investigation in Reynoldsville.

Jefferson County District Attorney Jeff Burkett has announced the arrest of 65-year-old Edward Roy Minner, of Philadelphia, Pa., for delivery of a controlled substance in connection with multiple drug investigations related to events surrounding a drug overdose death in Reynoldsville, Pa.

On Monday, May 1, 2017, Minner was charged in Magisterial District Judge David Inzana’s office, in Reynoldsville, with delivering crystal methamphetamine to an adult female.

Burkett further confirms that a separate investigation into an overdose death is ongoing and that prosecution on that case is pending toxicology results.

Burkett states,”I am extremely proud of the hard work of my Jefferson County Drug Task Force, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, and the Reynoldsville Borough Police in investigating this case and taking this suspect into custody. We worked very hard on this investigation. We will give more details about this investigation soon.”

“Also, my County Detective, Guy Felmlee, did a great job leading this important investigation. Because of the long hours everyone worked on this, we took a lot of drug trafficking off of the street.”

Unable to post $125,000.00 bail, Minner was lodged in the Jefferson County Jail.

Minner faces the following charges in a preliminary hearing at 10:00 a.m. on May 19 in front of Judge Inzana:

– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
– Intentional Possession Controlled Substance By Person Not Registered, Misdemeanor
