Court documents indicate 20-year-old Matthew Glen Schetrompf pleaded guilty to one first-degree misdemeanor count of corruption of minors on Wednesday, October 7.

As a result of the plea agreement, the following charges were dismissed:

– Corruption of Minors, Misdemeanor 1 (one count)
– Indecent Assault-Without Consent Of Other, Misdemeanor 2
– Harassment – Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary

Schetrompf remains free on $5,000.00 unsecured bail.

Sentencing for the case has not yet been scheduled.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred in the summer of 2019.

Details of the case:

According to a criminal complaint, an investigation was initiated based on a report to Childline that a known 16-year-old male victim was assaulted during the summer of 2019.

The victim was interviewed on December 28, 2019. According to the complaint, the victim reported that he and his friend, a 17-year-old female juvenile, were at the Taylor Memorial Park on July 4, 2019, for the Brockway Fourth of July celebration, and Matthew Glen Schetrompf came to hang out with them. The victim noted he had never met Schetrompf prior to that day, and told police while Schetrompf was with them, he kept grabbing his (the victim’s) genitals, outside of his clothing, without his consent.

The female juvenile was interviewed on December 30, 2019.

According to the complaint, she related the same information regarding Schetrompf touching the victim, and said she witnessed all of it.

The complaint notes the female juvenile also provided police with a message conversation between her and Schetrompf in which she told Schetrompf “He (the victim) didn’t know how to get you to stop other than walking away or moving and you followed him.” According to the complaint, Schetrompf acknowledged groping the victim’s genitals and stated, “he could have just asked me to stop, but I get it.”

Schetrompf was interviewed on March 3, 2020. According to the complaint, Schetrompf admitted to grabbing the victim’s genitals, outside of his clothing, on the day in question. He also allegedly admitted to driving both juveniles to a known address afterward and taking turns utilizing a sex toy and advised that the female juvenile stayed in a room while he and the victim took turns using the room to use the sex toy on themselves. The complaint notes when asked if the juveniles saw him using the sex toy on himself, he said the female juvenile potentially did, and the victim may have “if he did not leave the room in time.” He also allegedly stated that at no point did he touch either of the juveniles while using the sex toy.

On March 17, the female juvenile was interviewed again and allegedly stated that Schetrompf drove her and the victim to Walmart after hanging out at the Fourth of July celebration, and they purchased a sex toy. She told police “it was supposed to be a joke,” but also confirmed that Schetrompf used the sex toy on himself in front of her.

The charges were filed against Schetrompf through Magisterial District Judge David B. Inzana’s office on March 24.
