Reynoldsville Man Accused of Striking Child During Domestic Incident


REYNOLDSVILLE BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – A Reynoldsville man is facing child endangerment charges after a domestic dispute at his residence involving a nine-year-old child.

According to a criminal complaint filed by Dubois State Police Trooper Dylan Himes, the incident occurred around 5:00 p.m. on January 5. In an interview, the 9-year-old told Tpr. Himes that William Ryan London became angry with her and struck her multiple times, on the face, with an open hand.

Tpr. Himes observed multiple significant bruises on the child’s left and right cheeks and left and right ears, the complaint states.

William Ryan was arraigned on January 6, in front of Magisterial District Judge David B. Inzana on the following charges:

-Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 1
-Endangering Welfare of Children – Parent/Guardian/Other Commits Offense, Misdemeanor 1
-Harassment – Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary

Ryan’s bail was set at $15,000.00 monetary, and he was released on January 8 after his bail was posted by a professional bondsman.

He is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 18, in front of Judge Inzana.
