WINSLOW TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A Reynoldsville man is facing felony charges after he was found in possession of a large quantity of heroin and fentanyl following a parole violation.
Court documents indicate the Punxsutawney-based State Police filed criminal charges against 32-year-old Kacey Alan Lindemuth, of Reynoldsville – currently lodged in SCI Mercer.

According to a criminal complaint, around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 3, PSP Troop C Vice Unit was requested to assist State Parole Agent Jim Shuttleworth at a residence in Winslow Township, Jefferson County. Agent Shuttleworth was attempting to apprehend Kacey Lindemuth on a state parole violation.
According to the complaint, Agent Shuttleworth arrived at the residence and observed Lindemuth outside in the yard. Lindemuth then ran inside the residence, and Agent Shuttleworth pursued him. In the process of apprehending Lindemuth and clearing the house for officer safety, Agent Shuttleworth observed drugs and cash laying in plain view on the basement floor of the house.
After placing Lindemuth in custody, Agent Shuttleworth then held the scene until Troop C Vice Unit’s arrival.
A trooper of the Troop C Vice Unit then interviewed Lindemuth at the scene.
According to the complaint, during the interview, Lindemuth allegedly said he believed he had two bundles of heroin down in the basement. He said some was from Philadelphia and some from Pittsburgh. He also mentioned that some of the heroin had fentanyl in it.
The trooper found a brick of heroin, a bundle of heroin, a small amount of suspected methamphetamine, numerous unused stamp and plastic bags, and numerous ziplock bags of cash, totaling $1,000.00. All of the items were seized and entered into evidence, the complaint indicates.
Based on the investigation, charges were filed in Magisterial District Judge David B. Inzana’s office on Monday, September 17.
Lindemuth is awaiting a preliminary hearing in Magisterial District Judge David B. Inzana’s office.
