Police: Reynoldsville Man Caught on Camera Stealing 4-Wheeler from DuBois Regional Airport

WASHINGTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Police say a local man was caught on camera reportedly stealing a four-wheeler from the DuBois Regional Airport.

Court records show DuBois-based State Police filed criminal charges against 36-year-old Cory Patrick Schuckers, of Reynoldsville, in District Judge David B. Inzana’s office on Thursday, March 21.

According to a criminal complaint, PSP DuBois troopers were dispatched to the DuBois Regional Airport on Aviation Way in Washington Township, Jefferson County, for a report of a theft of a four-wheeler around 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 16.

The victim told police that his 2006 Artic Cat four-wheeler was taken from an enclosed maintenance garage on the airport’s property, the complaint states.

An employee at the airport provided police with records of who accessed any gate at the airport from March 15-16. The record revealed that Cory Schuckers accessed Gate 2, located next to the maintenance garage, on March 16, the complaint indicates.

Police were also informed that Schuckers was not scheduled to work on March 16, the complaint notes.

According to the complaint, Schuckers contacted a co-worker and asked to borrow his trailer on March 16. The co-worker told Schuckers he could use it later in the day when he returned from work. However, whenever he arrived home from work, the trailer was not at his residence. He told police Schuckers drives a black Mercury Mountaineer.

Police obtained video surveillance from the incident, which showed a black SUV towing a trailer and traveling south on Aviation Way, toward the airport, around 8:30 p.m. on March 16. The video then shows the same black SUV at 8:45 p.m. towing a trailer with a four-wheeler on it, the complaint states.

The complaint noted that multiple attempts have been made by police to contact Schuckers with negative results.

Schuckers was arraigned on the following charges at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, in front of Judge Inzana:

– Theft by Unlawful Taking – Movable Property, Felony 3
– Receiving Stolen Property, Felony 3

He was released on $20,000.00 unsecured bail.

A preliminary hearing date has not been scheduled.
