Reynoldsville Man Crashes into Retaining Wall

WINSLOW TWP., Pa. (EYT) – No injuries were reported after a Reynoldsville man lost control of his vehicle and collided with a stone wall on Monday.

According to DuBois-based State Police, the crash occurred around 3:39 p.m. on Monday, August 15, along State Route 310, south of its intersection with 10th Street, in Winslow Township, Jefferson County.

Police say a 2001 BMW 335i operated by 35-year-old Peter L. Talbot, of Reynoldsville, was traveling south on SR-310, entering a sharp left curve.

Talbot told police that as he entered the left curve, he felt the tire of the vehicle break traction and begin to slide across the northbound lane of SR-310.

The vehicle then struck a stone retaining wall head-on and skid off the wall before striking it a second time.

Talbot and his passengers, 34-year-old Donna L. Everetts, of Petrolia, and a 7-year-old juvenile male, escaped the crash without injuries.

All occupants were using a seat belt, including the juvenile who was using a booster seat.

According to police, Talbot was cited for failing to drive the vehicle at a safe speed.

PSP DuBois, Reynoldsville Fire Company and EMS, and Jewell’s Towing assisted at the scene.
