Rhonda Darlene Miller, 64, of Sarvey Lane, Brookville, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at the Penn Highlands Hospital in DuBois, PA.
She was born on October 1, 1953, in Brookville, PA, the daughter of Edwin “Jay” Dinger and Beverly E. McKee Dinger who preceded her in her passing.
In 1989 she married Randon A. Miller in Brookville, who survives.
Rhonda worked originally for McCabe Drug Store in Brookville, and later as a quality inspector for Owens-Illinois in Brookville where she was the union treasurer of the Local #247 in Brookville.
She loved cooking, baking, and especially serving the people who stopped in at Coffee Cakes in Brookville. Rhonda loved sports and was a very big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, and the Penguins. She really enjoyed gambling and going to the casinos, but above all, she loved her family, especially her children, her grandchildren, and great-granddaughter, especially on the holidays.
No matter what, Rhonda did what she wanted to do, when she wanted to do it, and her family loved her for that.
She is survived by her husband; one son, Joshua M. Ponchel (wife Jennifer) of DuBois, PA; one daughter, Heather M. Baughman (husband Kevin) of Emerickville, PA; four grandchildren, Taylor Ponchel, Breeanna Wall, Jimmy Moore, and Myranda Baughman; one great-granddaughter, Sophia Wall; and one sister, Vickey Brosius (husband Bill) of Hazen, PA.
The family of Rhonda Darlene Miller will receive friends on Saturday, August 25, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Peterson Funeral Home, 153 Jefferson St. Brookville, PA, with a service celebrating her life to follow at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations in Rhonda’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Dr. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15205.
