Ricky A. Lingenfelter, 60, of Mahaffey, passed away Friday May 22, 2020 at his home.
He was born on August 3, 1959 to William L. and Grace S. (Noel) Lingenfelter in Punxsutawney.
He was a stone and concrete mason by trade. He was an active Christian and member of Otterbein Community Church.
Ricky was known for his caring heart and ability to make any and everyone feel like a friend. He was able to see the goodness in every soul and wasn’t afraid to show his love; he wore his extraordinarily big heart on his sleeve.
He had a very creative mind and loved working with his hands to make one of a kind art out of his stone work. Rick most enjoyed spending time with his family, spoiling his grandbabies with love, talking with old friends (and the new ones he would make!) over many cups of coffee at the Starlite, spending time working on the home he built, and relaxing with his love Donna, dear friend Richard “Eagle” Seger, and his beloved dogs Buddy and Molly.
Those who knew Rick will remember being happily greeted with a strong handshake, warm hug, and kind smile.
He is survived by his fiance Donna Barto of Mahaffey, daughters Aimee Lingenfelter of DuBois, Kelli Lingenfelter and fiance Michael Hale of Reynoldsville; stepsons Fred Barto Jr. of Commodore and Andrew Barto of Strongtown; grandchildren Thomas, Rafael, Emma, Kendall and Liam; Mother Grace of Mahaffey; Three brothers, William M. and wife Betty of Owings, Maryland, Denny, Floyd “Skeeter”, and one sister Vada all of Mahaffey; Nephews Daniel Butcher and wife Jennifer of Galion, Ohio, Ryan Butcher and wife Tabitha of London, Ohio; An aunt, Muriel Briggs and husband James of Lewiston, New York as well as many cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father William L. along with several aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be on Wednesday May 27 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at the Otterbein Community Church, Mahaffey.
Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
