Rimersburg Man Taken into Custody After Three-County High Speed Chase

McIntyre-mugLICKING TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Clarion-based State Police arrested a Rimersburg man following a high speed chase through three counties earlier this week.

Police say sometime between 11:55 a.m. and 12:07 p.m. on May 7, 20-year-old Raymond McIntyre, of Rimersburg, allegedly drove a vehicle to a residence on Craig Road, in Parker, where a 20-year-old Parker woman was staying. The woman has a valid PFA (Protection From Abuse) against him.

McIntyre allegedly fled the scene prior to police’s arrival, according to police.

While Trooper Mesing was traveling on Craig Road towards the victim’s residence, a silver PT Cruiser allegedly being operated by McIntyre drove past her at a high rate of speed, police say.

Trooper Mesing turned around and attempted to stop McIntyre’s vehicle, and he allegedly fled the area, according to police.

McIntyre was allegedly pursued for several miles until Trooper Mesing lost sight of him, and the pursuit was terminated, police say.

McIntyre was apprehended approximately one hour later in Clintonville following a second high speed pursuit through Clarion, Butler, and Venango Counties, according to police.

McIntyre was out on bail at the time of the chase. His bail was revoked, and he was lodged in the Clarion County Jail, police say.

Charges for the PFA violation were filed at District Court 18-3-04, and bail was set at 25,000.00, according to police.

Charges will be filed on Monday for Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, police say.
