Robert “Bob” L. Adamson, 80, DuBois, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Penn Highlands DuBois.
Born February 23, 1941, in Sykesville, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Margaret (Conner) Adamson Sr.
On August 12, 1967, he married Carla (Swanson) Adamson at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in DuBois. She survives.
Bob graduated from Reynoldsville High School in 1959.
He served in the U.S. Army Reserves for six years.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Owens- Brockway Glass as an inspector.
Bob was the president of the Gateway Humane Society and loved animals.
He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Penguins.
Bob was a member of Masonic Lodge #559 and was a 32nd Degree Mason.
He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.
Bob is survived by four siblings, Donna Yeaney, Reynoldsville, Lloyd Adamson Jr., DuBois, Carl (Dolly) Adamson, Erie, and Larry (Suzanne) Adamson, Brockway, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his siblings, James and William Adamson, Margaret Marchioni, and two infant brothers.
Friends and family will be received Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 10-11 a.m. (Masonic service to begin at 9:30 a.m.) from the Christ Lutheran Church in DuBois.
Immediately following the visitation, a Service of Remembrance will be held at 11 a.m. from the church with Pastor John Miller officiating.
The family requests that all visitors wear a protective face covering.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Adamson Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.
