Robert Edward King, age 79 of DuBois, PA, formerly of Windsor, NY, died Sunday, November 28, 2021 at his home.
Born on October 1, 1942 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Henry C. and Matilda A. (Owens) King.
He married Phyllis (Truesdale) King. She preceded him in death On August 22, 2021.
Robert had lived in Windsor, New York for many years before moving back to DuBois.
He had worked as a manager at the Blind Workshop in Binghamton, NY.
He was an avid golfer and hunter, and was a social member of the American Legion.
Robert is survived by 1 daughter (Roberta “Bert” Smith and her husband James of Gulfport, FL), 2 grandchildren (Jessica Nolin and Brandon Ketcham), 2 great grandchildren, 4 sisters (Margaret Gehm & her husband Edward, Rose Purdy, Sally Sprouse and Mary King all of New York). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 1 daughter (Susan King), 1 sister (Betty) and 2 brothers (Henry and John “Sonny” King).
There will be no public visitation or service.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
