Robert L. Peoples Sr.

Robert L. Peoples Sr., 94, went to be with his Lord Thursday, February 10, 2022, after a short illness.

Born April 17, 1927, in Clearfield, he was the son of the late Arthur and Ruth (Garthwaite) Peoples.

On August 9, 1947, he married the love of his life, Jeannette Margareit “Nettie” (Cook) Peoples. She preceded him in death on November 28, 2014.

Bob graduated from the DuBois Area High School.

He served in the U.S. Army during WWII.

Bob retired from Rockwell International after 48 years of service.

He was a member of the DuBois Alliance Church where he was a past board member and Sunday school teacher.

Bob loved Jesus and devoted his life to his Lord.

He enjoyed hunting, fly fishing, woodworking, reading his Bible, daily trips with his wife, and spending time with his family.

God blessed Bob and Nettie with four children, Robert (Karen) Peoples Jr., Rockton, Rusty (Brenda) Peoples, DuBois, Pamela (Tracy) Donati Simmons, DuBois, and Peggy (David) Heffner, Rockton; nine grandchildren, Rob and Jennifer Peoples, Kristin Kopshina, Karen Brown, Amanda Maxim, Ashley Donati, and Ryan, Kyle, and Lucas Heffner; twelve great-grandchildren, Henry Kopshina, Alexis and Cody Brown, Addison, Owen, and Aria Maxim, Jase, Lilley, Wyatt, Tinley, and Sadie Heffner, and Rowan Wayland, and three siblings, Vaughn (Lois) Peoples, DuBois, Joann Stoey, Reynoldsville, and Arleen Hrin, South Carolina.

In addition to his parents and wife, Bob was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur “Boots” Peoples, and a sister, Evelyn Shaffer.

Friends and family will be received Sunday, February 13, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. from the Adamson Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.

On Monday, February 14, 2022, a visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. at the Treasure Lake Church.

Following Monday’s visitation, a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. from the church with Pastor Dick Whitaker officiating.

Military honors will be accorded by the DuBois Area Honor Guard. Interment will be in Morningside Cemetery.
