Ronald Delano Wright

Ronald Delano Wright, 80, of Dayton, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, September 22 at his home.

He was born December 22, 1933 to Jesse James Sr. and Edna Blanch (Cooke) Wright in Coolspring, PA.

Ronald served in the United States Army during 1955 to 1958.

Ronald was employed by the R&P coal company as an assistant mine foreman at the Jane mine in Armstrong County, retiring in 1987. He was also a member of the Dayton First Church of God.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved spending time with his wife and family.

Ronald is survived by his wife Lois I. (McNutt) Wright whom he married April 4, 1959. Two sons: Jamie Lynn (Janie) Wright of Rural Valley, and Ricky Dean (Debra) Wright of NuMine. One Daughter: Lorrie Sue (John SR.) Milliron of Rimersburg, PA. Eight grandchildren: Jesse James (Bridget), Jared Jacob (Melinda), John Albert JR., Autumn Gail, Scott Alan, Alyssa Nicole, Curtis Rodney Paul, Leah Joelle. One great grandson: Oliver Delano. Two sisters: Jean McHenry and Dorothy (Richard) Brewer both of Brookville and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Gerald Paul Wright and Jesse James JR Wright, two sons: Phillip Scott and Petty Officer 2nd Class Rodney Dale and five sisters: Alice McInstry, Dollie Taylor, Betty Greeley, Lois Shaffer and Ruth Forsythe.

Visitation will be held on September 24, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, 724 W, Main Street Rural Valley, PA, with the funeral service immediately following.

Reverend John Milliron will be officiating. Burial will take place in Harkleroad Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home.
