Ronald Francis Infantino

Ronald Francis Infantino, 79, of Punxsutawney, peacefully passed away on Monday December 6, 2021 at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

He was born February 24, 1942 to John A. and June (Reed) Infantino in Punxsutawney.

Ron was a Vietnam Veteran serving with the United States Army.

Ron was a member of Saint Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church, Punxsutawney and the Punxsutawney Eagles Club.

Ron was a 1960 Graduate of the Punxsutawney Area High School.

He worked various jobs around Punxsy before starting his career as a meat cutter.

Ron worked at Riverside, Bilo, and ended his career at County Market.

During Ron’s career, he owned his own meat cutting business, Infantino’s custom cutting.

He loved gardening, animals (especially birds) spending time in the kitchen, watching re-run episodes of Gun Smoke, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years JoAnn (Kaylor) Infantino, Punxsutawney, four sons, and a daughter, John W. Infantino and wife Stefanie Allegretti, Creighton, Ronald A. Infantino and wife Christine, Punxsutaweny, Robert J. Infantino and Kasey Schaffer, Big Run, Richard T. Infantino, Punxsutawney, Ronda Jo Berkey and husband Troy, Tampa, FL. Seven grandchildren, Riley, Arianna, Adalyn, Maddisynne, Solomon, Silas, Aris, two brothers, James R. Infantino and wife Dorothy, Punxsutawney, Thomas Infantino, Carlisle, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Brian Michael Infantino, and a sister, Rose Lee Smith.

Friends will be received on Friday, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the McCabe Funeral Home Inc. 114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawney, PA 15767.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:00 AM with Monsignor Riccardo Celebrant, at Saint Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church, 616 W. Mahoning Street, Punxsutawney, PA 15767,

Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
