Roswell “Ben” B. Frisbee

Roswell “Ben” B. Frisbee, 90, DuBois, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 11, 2021, surrounded by his family at home.

Born December 3, 1930, in Valencia, PA, he was the son of the late Roswell B. and Elwina (Bennett) Frisbee.

On June 30, 1951, he married Sarah “Chook” (Gross) Frisbee in Mars, PA.

Ben graduated from Leetsdale High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Army in France during the Korean War. Ben was a master carpenter by trade and enjoyed woodworking. He also enjoyed completing jigsaw puzzles and hunting. He was a past commander of the American Legion in Mars. Ben was a member of the Treasure Lake Church in DuBois, PA.

Ben is survived by his wife and their five children, Julia (Glenn) Sanders, Centerville, PA, Bennett L. (Dawn) Frisbee, Fenelton, PA, Sigmund J. Frisbee, Treasure Lake, Justine L. Scolaro, Chippewa Twp., and Roger B. (Christi) Frisbee, Glenshaw, PA, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the last member of his immediate family.

In addition to his parents, Ben was preceded in death by his sister, Lois Lager.

There will be no public visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the Treasure Lake Church with Pastor Dick Whitaker officiating. All Covid-19 guidelines will be followed, including mask wearing and social distancing. Interment will be in Mars Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Adamson Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.
