Sandra S. Franke, age 82, Franke Road, Grampian, PA died Monday, March 20, 2017 at Christ the King Manor.
Born September 21, 1934 in Clearfield, PA, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Mary (Rhinehart) Stewart.
On December 12, 1969, she married Herman F. Franke. He survives.
Sandra worked as an insurance agent for her father’s business, formerly the Stewart Agency, early in her career. Later, she worked for various insurance agencies in PA and OH.
She was a member of the Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church and was the first woman member of the Pittsburgh Athletic Association (P.A.A.). She loved to travel.
Sandra is survived by five children: Gary Franke and his wife, Debra of Cleveland Heights, OH; Kenneth Franke and his wife, Anne of Kutztown, PA; Richard Franke and his wife, Necia of Fort Worth, TX; Patricia O’Donnell and her husband, Larry of Sicklerville, NJ; and Paul Franke and his wife, Mary Jo of Avon Lakes, OH, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a brother, Walter Stewart of Miamisburg, OH; and a sister, Sylvia Kinzler of Chambersburg, OH.
She was preceded in death by her brother, William Stewart.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 5-8 P.M. at the Goble Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 11 A.M. from the Goble Baronick Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Zitsch officiating.
Burial will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
