MOJAVE DESERT, California – “Mad” Mike Hughes successfully launched a homemade steam-powered rocket Sunday as part of an ongoing effort to prove the earth is flat.
The steam-powered rocket with the words “research flat earth” made it 1,875 feet into the air above the Mojave desert achieving an estimated speed of 350 mph before Hughes activated his parachute.
