Say What?!: Great White Shark Spotted in Long Island Sound for First Time Ever

LONG ISLAND SOUND, Conn. – According to officials, a great white shark has been detected for the first time ever in an estuary on the Northeast U.S. coast.

Officials say the 10-foot male shark, which was tagged off the coast of Nova Scotia last year and tracked with a digital monitor, was spotted in Long Island Sound off the Connecticut coast recently.
