Say What?!: Burger King Manager Finds $100,000 Cash in Left-Behind Backpack

SAN JOSE, California – A Burger King employee discovered a backpack Wednesday that had been left behind at a booth — and it was filled with $100,000 cash.

A worker at the fast food store in San Jose brought the blue backpack to assistant manager Altaf Chaus. The bag had been left at a booth for hours, and when Chaus looked inside for some sort of contact information, he discovered ten stacks of $10,000 — equaling $100,000.

“I was shocked,” he told NBC. “There was a stack of hundred dollar bills wrapped in rubber bands. I called police.”
