Say What?!: Crash Releases 100 Calves Onto Turnpike

The Florida Highway Patrol said officers turned cowboy Wednesday morning when a cattle truck overturned and released about 100 calves onto a stretch of turnpike.

Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Kim Montes said the driver of the cattle truck sustained minor injuries when the vehicle overturned about 2:21 a.m. Wednesday at Mile Marker 231 in Osceola County.

Authorities said an undisclosed number of calves died in the crash and about 100 other dogies were released to wander the roadway.
